This is a totally new website. designed specifically to assist customers understand what JobQGenie is and how it can help them when they have to recover a system after a system loss. The website. will focus solely on JobQGenie giving the user a simple but complete view of the product and its capabilities. Shield Advanced Solutions Ltd continues to run a website for its other products but this site focusses soley on JobQGenie.

New Version 5.0 Available
Version 5.0 is available and shipping to customers. New features have been added which allow the user better control and data interrogation in the event of a system failure. We continue to look at performance and how we can improve the product, ease of use is another feature we have improved this version with the integration of the Target System Module into the base product. New White papers
One of the problems facing most companies is how to implement a solution effectively. Skills are not available to meet the growing needs of most IT shops, which means some projects fail or suffer because of a lack of knowledge. The white papers are aimed at helping the users to understand and implement a technology more effectively than if left with just manuals to review. Using samples to help display how a technology can be used is an effective teaching tool, this is what we are trying to achieve with the white papers we have written. We have white papers available, the first looking at how to implement the product within your High Availability Solution, the second looks at how to use the data collected by JobQGenie to recover application and job data to a suitable restart position. The aim of our White Papers is to help you with the technical evaluation and eventual purchasing decision for our solutions.
Receiver Apply Program
If you need to keep a remote database in sync with a local one you normally have to invest in one of the High Availability Solutions such as those linked from our pages. The problem with most of these solutions is cost and complexity, if you just want to be able to create a copy of the database and not have any other features there are not many options. Shield has built upon the Remote Journalling technology described in our white paper Remote Journalling and Data recovery. In this white paper we discussed the ability to take Remote journal receivers and apply the entries from those receivers, we have now provided an automated process over this technology which allows the applying of changes to the remote objects.
